3.1 Research Design

The Instruments

The research design for this study comprises three main stages:

1. Identification of factors: In this stage, qualitative research methods, such as literature review and expert interviews, are employed to identify the factors contributing to network bottlenecks under different traffic conditions.

2. Data collection and analysis: Quantitative data, including network performance metrics and traffic patterns, are collected and analyzed to validate the identified factors and assess their impact on bottleneck process flow.

3. Simulation modeling and validation: A simulation model is developed to represent network behavior under various traffic conditions, and the model's validity is tested using real-world network data.

• 2.Internet service provider (ISP)

• 3.Web server hosting the webpage

• 4.Content delivery network (CDN), if applicable

• 5.Any additional servers or services, such as databases or third-party APIs

Draw a flowchart using shapes to represent each of these components:

• 1. Rectangles for devices and servers

• 2. Circles for ISPs and CDNs

• 3. Arrows to indicate the direction of data flow between components

Connect the components in the order they interact with one another when accessing and loading the webpage

• c. If a CDN is used, connect the ISP to the CDN, and then the CDN to the web server
